SAFIRE World

SAFIRE World is the Internet presence of the design team that created the SAFIRE Tool Chain, an environment for the rapid prototyping and validation of signaling systems.  It is the sales & support channel for SAFIRE and SAFIRE based applications. We are a division of Northern Venture Ltd, based in Cyprus, with sales, support & development offices in the USA, UK, Germany, India, Greece, Taiwan and Sicily.

History

The first version of SAFIRE was developed in 1994 by SOLINET, (Stuttgart, Germany) in cooperation with Expert Telecoms, (Edinburgh, Scotland).  Since then we have achieved a surprising number of 'world firsts' and have worked with some of the most famous names in the telecoms industry.  We have sales and cooperation agreements with the world's top (by sales) test equipment manufacturers and network infrastructure suppliers.

The SAFIRE World was spun off in August 2002 to completely rewrite SAFIRE and turn it into a fully integrated, fully graphical development and run-time environment optimized for the implementation, validation and observation of signaling systems.  We think the latest version may be the most advanced and optimized environment for this purpose in the world, but why not judge for yourself?  By the way, we're also proud of our Internet delivery system and experienced support team!

In 2006 we became a division of Northern Venture, a software development group based in Limassol, Cyprus, one of Europe's leading financial centers.  Being part of a larger group makes us a global player with a local presence.  Our head office in Cyprus manages international direct sales, and our distributors SOLINET (Europe) and Northern Venture (USA & Canada) represent us in their domestic markets; please refer to our contacts page for details.

SAFIRE Review Meetings

In 2003 we hosted the international SDL conference in Stuttgart.  Since then we hold informal, quarterly SAFIRE review meetings, where we discuss the latest features, brain-storm and network socially.

As many of us anyway have to travel to these review meetings, we tend to choose interesting places to meet; particularly memorable locations include Boston, Canada, Norway, Germany, Greece (several times actually, we like the grilled fish there!), Cyprus & Hong Kong.  For future review meetings, we have short-listed Catania, Glastonbury, Dublin, London, Singapore and, of course, Greece.
