Overview
The SAFIRE World G703 E1/T1/J1/DS1 Quad PCI is a high performance plug-in card for G703 based signaling test and protocol analysis requirements.
It supports four physical G703 interfaces for active signaling tests (line termination), or four physical interface for non-intrusive protocol analysis (full duplex per direction).
Each interface is configurable for the international versions of the G703 DS1 interface, i.e. E1 (2Mbits Europe), T1 (1.44 Mbits USA), J1 (2Mbits Japan).

Description
The SAFIRE World G703 E1/T1/J1/DS1 Quad PCI can be combined with other SAFIRE applications to turn a medium specification portable or rackmount PC into a powerful protocol analyzer, conformance tester, gateway or traffic generator.
In addition to standard G703, the module supports ATM over E1 according to CCITT recommendation G.804 as used in many mobile communications infrastructures (3G, UMTS) for the Radio Network (RN).
This physical interface module conforms to 2.1 compliant PCI logical bus. Depending on the portable or rackmount PC configuration, up to 16 PCI AIMs can be installed in one machine, allowing 48 G703 ports to be operated simultaneously (rackmount-scalable).
The software driver is SAFIRE compatible, hooking into the SAFIRE Professional tool chain or SAFIRE-based applications, such as SOLINET's signaling applications.
The driver includes a dedicated SAFIRE MIB Editor, which allows the G703 interface parameters, such as clock master/slave & impedance, to be configured from within SAFIRE based signaling applications.
