Job Description

• Join a small, fast-moving team of specialists working with one of Europe's leading telecoms development teams to focus on related issues, such as:
• Identifying advances in the area of telecoms standards and test specifications, particularly conformance testing & SDL/ASN.1 related issues.
• Analysis of customer requirements including presentations of solutions with sales specialists.
• Co-operation with development teams and customers to provide solutions including installation and commissioning of software based products, and liaison with training activities.
• Project related software development & implementation of specific features as suitable.

This position includes participation in various project meetings with customers, suppliers and standardization authorities such as ITU-T, ETSI & others.  A strong practical ability needs to be combined with sound technical understanding and responsibility. Extensive international travel is possible for interested applicants.

 

The telecoms team is a group of experienced specialists working with the development engineers to apply our leading edge technology to applications in this area, such as conformance tests, protocol implementation and embedded systems.

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills/qualifications profile:

• Good University degree in telecoms or related field.
• Detailed knowledge of one or more of the main areas: ISDN, SS7, INAP, GSM, V5, ATM.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken), plus a second language.
